Huffington Post has an interesting piece today in which they interview several Obama administration figures about why Obama hates making the State of the Union speech. (Main reason: It no longer has any effect on public opinion and as a result, it doesn’t move policy.)
Former Obama adviser David Axelrod said this speech “will be entirely different than any of the ones he’s previously given.”
