In the aftermath of Hillary’s selection of Tim Kaine as her running mate, Donald is making a clumsy play for disaffected Bernie holdouts. In the process, he’s jumping on the WikiLeaks bandwagon.
Setting aside our own personal views about WikiLeaks, how does Donald explain this tweet? Is he comfortable actively promoting an organization that describes itself as follows?
WikiLeaks specializes in the analysis and publication of large datasets of censored or otherwise restricted official materials involving war, spying and corruption. It has so far published more than 10 million documents and associated analyses.
Here’s an example of what they do:
The Afghan War documents leak, also called the Afghan War Diary, is the disclosure of a collection of internal U.S. military logs of the War in Afghanistan, which were published by WikiLeaks on 25 July 2010. The logs consist of over 91,000 Afghan War documents, covering the period between January 2004 and December 2009. Most of the documents are classified secret.
Perhaps an explanation is in order from Donald’s campaign?
Oh, and next time, he should spell WikiLeaks correctly.
