For the duration of the 2016 campaign, MSNBC’s Morning Joe has worked tirelessly to be the media’s anti-Hillary central.

Hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have succeeded at only one thing: losing credibility. They have failed at their larger mission: derailing Hillary’s campaign.

Again this morning, like almost every other morning, the Morning Joe crew throws their customary kitchen sink at Hillary, hoping that something sticks. They falsely imply Hillary has less money than Bernie Sanders, even though her cash-on-hand is higher. They mock her chief strategist. Scarborough peddles rumors about Hillary’s emails that he heard from an “intel source.” And on and on, ad nauseum.

You’d think that after Scarborough’s disastrous #SmileForJoe episode, he’d think twice before resuming his mission to undermine Hillary. Or that Brzezinski would realize she had crossed the line going after Elizabeth Warren.

Morning Joe would do themselves a world of good by going against the media narrative grain and focusing on things like this: Gallup Poll Shows Hillary Supporters Have the Most Enthusiasm.

But some people double down in the face of failure. And that’s clearly the case with Morning Joe.
