At an Albany rally, Donald Trump lashed out at Hillary with a bizarre comment. He said “everything” in Clinton’s life is a “big, fat, beautiful lie.” Oh, Donald. As the nuns used to tell us, “When you point the finger at someone else, you have four fingers pointing back at you.”
Let’s just take one of Hillary’s major accomplishments.
That would be her work to help create and fund SCHIP, the State Children’s Health Insurance Program that insures millions of kids today. It’s based on Kids First, the Plan B created by her original health care task force. She worked with Ted Kennedy, Orrin Hatch, Tom Daschle, and others to persuade the president to fund it fully in a tough political environment.
Kennedy health adviser Nick Littlefield told the New York Times, ”She was a one-woman army inside the White House to get this done.”
“We went to Mrs. Clinton and said, ‘You’ve got to get the president to come around on this thing,’” and she did.”
Ted Kennedy himself said, “The children’s health program wouldn’t be in existence today if we didn’t have Hillary pushing for it from the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue.”
The “big, fat, beautiful lie” is Donald Trump implying Hillary Clinton hasn’t done so much for so many. And it’s kind of cool to think that some of those kids she insured will be voting for her.
